Robert Alan Stokes is a creative marketer with more than a dozen years of freelance brand-strategy, graphic design and promotional content creation experience. He is ambidextrous, which explains how he is able to bring a valuable mix of creative, strategic and analytical skills to a marketing project.

He has honed his skills in writing, graphic design, Web design, prototyping, team building and promotional campaign management with real-world experience, yet “I am continually working on building my skills-set and deepening my understanding of effective marketing tactics, mostly by remaining acutely aware of industry trends and incorporating them into current projects.” His innovative approach to effective recourse-allocation and promotional messaging has enabled him to be instrumental in helping several enterprises in a variety of industries grow their market share.

He holds a BA in visual arts from Ohio University, as well as an MBA from Arizona State University. Currently, “I’m embracing targeted brand-emersion as a platform from which I approach creative development and promotions. I believe that an enterprise’s brand is one of the most crucial elements of commerce. Targeted brand-emersion is utilizing tactics that build consumers perception of the product from the stand-point of a promise. We define the brand’s promise, then build promotional content: wording, imagery, presentation and stakeholder actions to fulfill that promise. By doing so the enterprise has the greatest opportunity to achieve its objectives.”

Robert Alan received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio University. His training gave him the vision to create Kaleidoscope Theatre Troupe, contemporary commedia dell'arte performance company for which he wrote, directed and performed in shows that toured the East Coast of America for two years.

Robert Alan then transitioned to marketing, sales, and promotions positions for several for-profit and non-profit organizations. Following this, he joined SkySites Outdoor Media, a business unit of Vivendi Transit Media. For nearly four years he managed airport advertising programs in Arizona, New Mexico and California. During this time Robert Alan pursued graduate studies at Arizona State University, where he earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

Soon after graduation, he assumed the role of Executive Manager at Parker Madison Marketing Studio and held that post for five years. While at Parker Madison, Robert Alan's leadership drove the enterprise to consistent growth, while he also helped agency clients to obtain their marketing objectives time and again. His involvement included campaign development, strategy, advertising planning, creative team development, copywriting, art direction and business operations.

Robert Alan's fundamental marketing philosophy is; "develop an authentic, benefit-based message and deliver it in a relevant-to-the-recipient manner." He coined the phrase; clutter-cutting tactics, which he defined as the foundation of Parker Madison's value proposition.

Robert Alan has been contributor to Advertising & Marketing Industry activities through service on the boards of both national and local advertising and marketing trades organizations.

Currently he lives and works in the Portland, Oregon area, where he continues to help enterprises to meet their business objectives through effective on-line and multi-channel promotional campaign development.
